Artist: Zhen Guo

Zhen Guo, an artist and curator, was born in Rizhao, Shandong, China. Guo was a pioneer of ink art after China’s “Cultural Revolution” reform and reopening. Her studies and work in the United States firmly established her as a trailblazer in feminist art and contemporary Asian female ink art.

In recent years, Guo has been featured in solo shows in the United States, including at the Derfner Judaica Museum, Connecticut College, and Bard College, and important group exhibits at Mana Contemporary Art, Jeonbuk Museum of Art in South Korea South, and many others in China, Hong Kong, Mexico, Taiwan, Germany and more.  These exhibitions fully showcase her artistic vision skill, especially in the expressions of the state of women in society and our ongoing environmental crisis.

Zhen Guo created the “Chinese Feminist Artists Alliance” and was announced as the “Most Outstanding Asian Artist 2022” by the Chinese American Art Council, New York.

Currently, Guo Zhen resides and works in New York.
