Jiny Lan, born in 1970, Liaoning Province, China, and currently residing in North Rhine- Westphalia, Germany, she is a Chinese feminist artist. The revelation of patriarchy’s oppression on contemporary Chinese women in terms of their intellectual and cultural heritage is the main theme of her feminist works. Jiny Lan frequently travels between China and Europe, participating in exhibitions worldwide. Her work includes conceptual painting, installations, videos, and performance art, and it is held in many galleries, museums, foundations, and private collections in China and internationally. She is also one of the founding members of the Chinese feminist art collective “Bald Girls”.
